What is Ele-mental Health and why you should know
Mental health is an essential aspect of our overall well-being, and we must take care of it just as we would any other aspect of our health. Recently, there has been an increased focus on mental health, with discussions about the various challenges people around the world face. Today, I would like to discuss a critical aspect of mental health that is often overlooked, called "Ele-mental" health.
Ele-mental health refers to the connection between the natural environment and our mental well-being. The way we interact with nature has a profound impact on our mental health. This connection can be as simple as spending time outdoors in nature. But you don't have to go camping to see a benefit. Explore the close-by boundaries spaces too, like an outdoor basketball court or your home garden. Even having plants in your home brings you closer to nature.
Studies show that spending time in nature can reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. Walking in nature can improve cognitive function, attention span, and memory. Additionally, spending time in green spaces can help improve mood, boost creativity, and enhance our overall well-being.
There are many ways to incorporate elemental health into our daily lives. Some ideas include going to the park, taking a hike, or simply spending a moment enjoying the sunset.
As we continue to navigate the challenges posed by the many crises we currently face, it is more important than ever to prioritize our mental health. Incorporating ele-mental health into our daily routines can help us cope with the stress. Give yourself this gift.
I hope this newsletter has been informative and helpful in understanding the importance of ele-mental health. If you know someone who could benefit from this article, please forward it to them. They will appreciate it and so will I. Thank you!
